A Double Layered Explosion Box

Hi Friends,

Its been really very long, i haven't updated anything on the blog...
Today's post is something i had been dying to make and post...

A Double Layered Explosion Box

I had been going through loads of blogs and videos for scrap-booking and the result of such extensive learning process is this project.

My first ever scrap-booking project

This explosion box was made on order for a friend. She gifted it to her fiance on his birthday. As it was for birthday, i had added a twist to it. the Explosion Box has another small box inside that can hold a gift like a wrist watch, perfume bottle, chocolates, etc....

This explosion box holds 11 pictures and 3 message tags. This can be altered according to the preferences...

The Lid of the box

Open box, Center gift box, and the 2 layers

The bottom layer which holds 2 photos and 2 message tags

Side 1 - top and bottom layer

Side 2 - top and bottom layer

Side 3 - top and bottom layer

Side 4 - top and bottom layer
Final Look - with the 2 lids and the gift...

Love Gopi

Japanese Fan Frame

This one has already been uploaded on FB, but not yet on my blog....
Japanese Fan Frame is a project that is very very close to my heart. I don't know why, but i can sit admiring the frame for hours...

I took almost a month to finish this project... though the work can be finished in a weeks time max.
But i took so long becuase i din't want to compromise on it... I took time to finish the flowers and then leaves... then took time to do the arrangement. Lastly took almost 2-3 days to give it a finishing touch...

Here is a look at the frame....

Finished Project after Framing
I would like to mention here that the leaves in the frame are inspired by Anastasia Wahalatantiri and learned with the help of the tutorial uploaded by Pritesh Ananth Krishnan. Thanks a ton guys and i love you both...

This project also won the hearts of people from all over the world on FB and was announced the heart stealer by Pritesh Ananth Krishnan on her another blog Heart Stealer Quilling Designs.

Here is the link to the award annoucement
