Welcome Your Princess

Wow!!!  I made it to the top 3 of January Challenge on Bling It On Challenges through this project. The challenge topic was New Beginnings.

Hey folks!! Wish you all a very Happy, Prosperous & Creative New Year!!!
Hope you all had fun with you friends and families on New Year.

Its been really long, I have post anything on the blog. Completely lost track of the events, as life became too hectic suddenly.... Even the New Year wishes are after almost a month.... But i believe in 'Better Late Than Never'!!!

So lets begin the new year with a project i love the most...

Diaper Castle for your lovely little Princess!!!

The Castle is made out of 40-45 diapers. Out of these diapers around 35 can be used for its actual purpose.

The Castle can be personalised with the baby's Name tag and photograph.

It can also be highlighted using the baby accessories like hair clips, hair bands, necklaces and earrings.

It gives me immense pleasure, whenever i create this piece of art. This same castle can be made with blue shades for your lovely little Prince.

Entering this project for the following challenges:
1. CraftyJC Challenge #13 – Something New (for New Baby)
2. Bling It On Challenges - New Beginnings

I hope you guys like it... Please leave a comment.. :) Its such a fun reading all the comments..
Love!!!

A Perfect reason for being Joyous!!!

Bingo.... I have a perfect reason to be joyous today!!! I made it to the top 3 in Piyu's Challenge at Take a Quill Pill blog. It was my 1st ever blog challenge participation and 1st ever achievement... Infact i started my blog specially to enter this challenge... Was so eagerly waiting for these results...

It was a challenge recipe of fringing technique with tight coils, all done in 5 different colours. This was my submission to the challege...

A special thanks to Piyu - Take A Quill Pill for having this wonderful challenge blog, which allows learning quillers to participate at par with the pro quillers....

A warm congratulations to all the co-winners...

Happy Quilling...

Eccentric Wall Clock

Eccentric Loose Circle
Eccentric Shapes are made with loose circles, the centres of which have been pulled towards one edge and glued in place.

Make a loose circle, using a quilling/ designer board, and glue its loose outer end. Then use a straight pin to pull its centre to the mold's edge and push the pin into the board. To hold the centre in place permanently, apply a tiny dab of glue to the paper coil between the straight pin and the edge of the mold. Remove the pin when the glue has dried, twisting it slightly to loosen any glue stuck to it.

Using this quilling technique I made a beautiful wall clock. This wall clock also includes fringing technique, spiral roses, scrolls and marquise leaves.

This wall clock is a perfect gift for Housing warming. I personally use this for my room.

The different colour schemes for this wall clock available are:

Wine Colour                                                      Earthy (Peach) Colour                                                     Red Colour

Purple - Lavender - Yellow
